Linus Digital Finance appoints head of legal

Data- and tech-driven finance platform Linus Digital Finance has appointed Christopher Danwerth to the newly-created position of head of legal.

 

Danwerth's role will focus on providing the management board and other management teams with advice on legal and regulatory matters, and in particular on the company’s further expansion into new markets.

A trained banker, Danwerth completed his studies in law at the University of Münster and the Niigata University, Japan.

He has worked as a lecturer and at numerous international law firms, including Noerr and McDermott Will & Emery. In 2018, he joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Hamburg as an attorney, where he worked until most recently.

Linus Digital Finance is currently focusing on the further development of its digital platform, in which it plans to invest a sum in the double-digit million euro range. The firm hopes to raise a total of more than one billion euros from co-investors in the digital platform in the medium term. It said that additional hires were also in the works to boost the team further.
